I’ve been working with Olivia for seven years. I’m a psychologist and can be very in my head. I wanted to develop more somatic awareness, which led me to Olivia. As a generally healthy, athletic person who has been struggling with joint pain for quite a few years, I have been searching for answers to stabilize and strengthen to support an active lifestyle.   Of the many interventions I have tried, Pilates, and specifically working with Olivia, has absolutely been the most effective!  Olivia has a strong understanding of anatomy and neuromuscular health.  She came to Pilates through her own healing journey, which I believe has given her a more personal approach to the practice.  She is warm, thoughtful, organized, and a strong listener, and she designs sessions specifically for the issues the individual client is facing.  Having experienced quite a few practitioners from a variety of studios, Oliva is definitely a step above in her application of Pilates principles for individual health benefits, and also a pleasure to work with!

Olivia has a good sense of when to push you harder and when to slow down for healing time. Her interest in, and deep care around, body mechanics shines through in every session. She has special skill with exercises that gently open fascia and tight spaces so that the entire body works more smoothly and comfortably, and on the flip side, if you want a more athletic session, she can include energetic exercises -- all while accommodating for injuries and other limitations.
